I've looked and looked for information on this, unfortunately due to the fact that it's common in kids, 99.9 percent of the webpages out there are all about babies which is rather irrelevant to an adult.
Anyway, I'm allergic to Soy milk (not fatally, it just makes me very very sick) but I've noticed a curious thing, I'm fine with solid forms of Soy like TVP in vegetarian dishes. Would anyone have any ideas as to why Soy milk makes me miserable but I can eat Soy TVP and be fine?

I haven't really written anything in ages, especially poetry (I really struggle with this area of writing) so I'd ADORE some honest feedback on this short poem, please! If it needs to go behind a cut, tell me and I shall rectify this outrage.
Hair Dye
Today
I decided
That I had had enough
Dyed my brown hair red
Packed my bags
Left them in the doorway
And walked
To the bus stop.
I waited
And waited.
It began to rain.
Red dye pooled at my feet.
Finally, the bus appeared.
I turned around
And went home.
When it comes to football, Eric Mangini is from Mars and Mike Holmgren is from Venus.
They believe in different offensive systems. They believe in different defensive systems. Their personalities are stark contrasts: Holmgren is an open book and a straight-shooter, while Mangini believes in secrecy.
So how will these two planets align while working in the same building with the Cleveland Browns? We're about to find out.
After a series of meetings, Holmgren, the Browns' new president, opted Thursday to retain Mangini for a second season. Mangini led the Browns to a 5-11 record but finished on a four-game winning streak, and the "Big Show" was convinced he deserved another opportunity.
"I'm happy to announce that Eric Mangini will return as head coach of the Cleveland Browns in 2010," Holmgren said in a statement. "Over the past few weeks Eric and I have had a chance to talk on a number of occasions including our meetings over the last two days. I was able to gain some tremendous insight into his thought process and philosophies, and came away from our meetings very impressed."
This is Holmgren's first major decision as the football "czar" in Cleveland, and one that will be remembered for better or for worse.
If things work out, Holmgren will be celebrated for making a gutsy call to retain a coach he was unfamiliar with. But if it doesn't work and the Browns have another losing season, the beginning of the "Holmgren era" in Cleveland will be tainted.
But the work starts today for Holmgren and Mangini. Both will play key roles in their goal of turning the Browns into a winner.
Whether this pairing can work next season should be one of the NFL's most interesting storylines in 2010.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Cleveland Browns will bring back head coach Eric Mangini for his second season. Mangini has been in discussions with new president Mike Holmgren this week over his future with the team.

There seem to be a lot of interesting stories in the Torchwood Fiction Universe that never get finished.
What are the TW fictions that haven't been updated in at least six months that you would most like to see finished? They can be from any genre/rating and may include cross-overs. Feel free here to tell the author why you'd like to see the story fnished. (Yes, you may shamelessly beg, but threats or negative comments about said authors are not permitted).

Hi everyone! Just had a quick question for you. I sent in my red Elite 360 (it's the Resident Evil special edition) for repair right before Christmas. The disc drive wouldn't recognize games or DVD's anymore. When you tried to play anything, it'd automatically switch to that damn "Open Tray" message. So I packed it up, sent it off, and just got it back today.
Today? Really? That quick? I mean, thanks. . .but I guess I thought it would take longer or something.
Have any of you dealt with Microsoft's repair center? How did your console operate afterwards?
This is my 9th Xbox, and as the red Elite's are in very limited supply, I'd like to keep it for as long as possible. I'm too nervous to open the box. Haha. :(
Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Okay, so for the first time ever, a UMD has broken on me. It's not a game I totally love (a review copy I got), but it is fun and I was disappointed to see it break. You know that metal disc that's in the middle of a UMD? Well, this game's metal disc is slipping and sliding all over the place.
I did manage to get the UMD to play successfully in my PSP once since I discovered the problem, and played the game for 15-30 min. But yesterday I tried it again and, when it was still in the PSP home screen, the UMD didn't sound like it was spinning properly so I took it out.
Any tips or hints on repairing it? There's an independent game store about an hour away that I visit once a every other month or so, and they might be able to fix it. But I figured I'd check here in case there's a simple, free solution.
(I also think I've pin pointed the cause - a single UMD case that has a hard plastic button that probably poked up into it and pushed it out of place or something. I threw out the four other cases I had to prevent this from happening to another game that I do love.)

CINCINNATI -- Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer has the gaudy career statistics. He also has two Pro Bowls and a $100 million contract.
But outside of Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys, no quarterback this weekend needs a playoff win to enhance his reputation more than Cincinnati's former No. 1 overall pick.
"[The postseason] is how quarterbacks are remembered, created, judged," Palmer said candidly as Cincinnati (10-6) prepared for Saturday’s playoff game against the New York Jets (9-7).
Palmer, 30, is in his seventh season and has virtually no big-game experience. In his only playoff appearance in 2005, Palmer completed one pass to former teammate Chris Henry before blowing out his knee on Cincinnati's opening drive.
This weekend will mark the first postseason game for Palmer and Cincinnati since that devastating wild-card loss to the rival Pittsburgh Steelers. It took the Bengals four years to recover, while Pittsburgh and quarterback counterpart Ben Roethlisberger went on to win two Super Bowls in that span.
Palmer said he "absolutely" appreciates this playoff opportunity more than he did four years ago.
"This doesn’t happen every year. It doesn't happen every year to anybody," Palmer said. "When you come into the league and you go to the playoffs right away, you just assume that is what it is and it will be that way every year. ... It's hard not to think that coming into the league and right away going in.
"But now, seven years in and this is only my second time going, I realize how special the opportunity is and how much we need to take advantage of it, because it doesn't come around often."

The Pittsburgh Steelers confirmed Thursday that offensive line coach Larry Zierlein was fired, in addition to special teams coach Bob Ligashesky. Zierlein's dismissal was first reported in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Both Zierlein and Ligashesky were part of Pittsburgh's original coaching staff brought in by head coach Mike Tomlin in 2007. But the offensive line and special teams units have been inconsistent over that three-year span.
In total, the Steelers have made three coaching moves already this offseason. Quarterbacks coach Ken Anderson also retired this week.

Anything that's worked for you for controlling hot flashes? Black cohosh did the trick for awhile, but that's no longer cutting it. After doing some research I see that black cohosh isn't effective long term anyway and could be harmful to the liver.

I hate to bother everyone to ask for suggestions, but I am at a loss. I don't even know if anyone will have any suggestions, but I hope so!
I work at a learning clinic where I tutor kids, and in the early session I have a group of kids in the 3rd-5th grade range (I think that's 9-12ish range age wise?). What I'm looking for are some computer games that are age appropriate for that group. It would be a huge plus if it was fun to play for myself, too. :P (I get addicted to stuff like Snood and Sally's Spa xD) It doesn't have to be educational, though that is a plus. We don't have a wireless connection at the clinic (I'd be bringing my other laptop for them to play on), so I can't play on any websites or anything that requires I be online.
Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks~
