I feel like Office 2007's UI was supposed to be the "dummy mockup" that a key manager was supposed to kick to the curb, in favor of the UI we should have gotten. Then, not only did they like the dummy alternative, they liked it so much that they refused to allow the team to change anything - like actually finishing it.

You should transition to a better document preparation system.

I like LaTeX built in emacs with AUCTeX enabled, personally. It's "what you mean is what you get", not "what you see is what you don't really ever get".


If you must have a "WYSIWYG" type word processor, why not OpenOffice?
